Formentera enjoys a mild and sunny Mediterranean climate , with more than 300 days of sunshine a year and pleasant temperatures for much of the season. The stations Summer (June–September): warm and dry, with highs of 28–31 °C and a warm sea, ideal for the beach. It is the busiest time. Spring (April–June): mild temperatures, fields in bloom and plenty of peace and quiet — perfect for hiking and cycling. Autumn (September–November): the sea retains the summer heat and the days remain peaceful, with fewer people. Winter (December–March): mild for the latitude, with cool, sunny days; some businesses reduce their activity. Sea temperature The Mediterranean Sea is around 15–16 °C in winter and reaches 26–27 °C in late summer , when swimming is more pleasant. When to visit it May to October is the perfect time to enjoy swimming; May, June, and September offer the best balance between good weather and fewer crowds. Always bring sun protection, water, and a light jacket for the westerly wind.
