Next to the Molí d'en Jeroni, the Molí d'en Mateu makes up the pair known as the "Sa Miranda windmills", west of Sant Francesc Xavier. It was built in the mid-19th century by the Verdera Mateu family, who gave it its name. In 1958, after a powerful storm, it lost its sails and stopped working; it was later restored as a small home, which it still remains today. It is private property and cannot be visited inside, but its white silhouette is clearly visible from the street as you climb the camí de Dalt de Portossalè, behind the old cemetery. One of the most photogenic corners of the village, especially in the late afternoon.
