The Molí d'en Botigues was the last flour mill to start working in Formentera, on 8 September 1893, and it ground grain until around 1950. It stands on the plateau of La Mola, next to the nearby Molí Vell, and still preserves its cylindrical stone tower and the roof, though the sails are now gone. The Consell Insular has begun the process to have it declared a Site of Cultural Interest. It is one of the stops on La Mola's mill route, admired from the outside and wonderfully photogenic at sunset. To see one from the inside, head to the Molí Vell, which has been restored and is open to visitors.
