The Sala Municipal d'Exposicions "Ajuntament Vell", managed by the Consell Insular de Formentera, stands on the plaza de la Constitució in Sant Francesc Xavier, right in the heart of the old town beside the fortress church. It hosts temporary exhibitions by local and visiting artists and collectives —painting, sculpture, photography, architecture and crafts— and has established itself as a leading venue for the island's art scene. Admission is free.
