La Mola Lighthouse - Exhibition

At the easternmost point of Formentera, on the La Mola plateau and at the edge of cliffs that plunge into the Mediterranean, stands this historic lighthouse, which entered service on November 30, 1861, based on a design by Emili Pou. Jules Verne set part of his novel "Hector Servadac" (1877) at this spot, and a monolith erected in 1978 commemorates it. Since 2019, it has housed a cultural space with a permanent exhibition on lighthouses, the sea, and navigation, as well as a hall for concerts and conferences. It is accessed from El Pilar de la Mola.
