In the heart of Sant Francesc Xavier, the capital of Formentera, the Centre Antoni Tur «Gabrielet» is a multifunctional space dedicated to the island's folk culture and traditional crafts. It occupies the former Guardia Civil barracks, restored and opened in 2011, with two wings: an exhibition hall that promotes local craftsmanship and a country market of farm produce. In the artisan area you'll find painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography, along with workshops in pottery and basketry. It takes its name from the ceramist Antoni Tur Costa «Gabrielet» (1917-1998).
