Sant Francesc - Porto-salè

Sant Francesc → Porto-salè

2.3 km · 40 min a pie · 20 min en bici · Media

This short route, just over 2 kilometers long, starts from the Jardí de Ses Eres , located behind the church of Sant Francesc Xavier, passing by the recently restored old cemetery. Immediately, we will ascend along the well-known Dalt de Porto-salè path, characterized by the Sa Miranda windmills located at its beginning. The first one we encounter is part of a private dwelling, while the second, called Molí de En Jeroni , is easily accessible. It is one of the seven flour mills on the island, built at the end of the 18th century, and boasts a very well-preserved tower. The millstones are visible and disassembled outside the tower. Continuing our journey, we begin to enjoy the wonderful views offered by the path's slight elevation, appreciating the Estany des Peix and La Savina , the island of Eivissa , and the islet of Es Vedrà . We will traverse part of rural Formentera, finding houses with their orchards, vineyards, cereal fields, and buildings of typical Formentera architecture. If we wish to access the sea, this peaceful walk connects with route 3, which ends at Cala Saona .
