Sant Francesc → Es Mal Pas
2.8 km · 45 min a pie · 30 min en bici · Fácil
We will depart from the town of Sant Francesc Xavier towards Es Mal Pas to travel a road that, despite being asphalted, maintains the characteristics of old paths: narrow, irregular, largely flanked by dry stone walls, dotted along its sides with traditional houses with their small orchards and cultivated fields. In the initial section and also at the end, before entering the wooded area, we can appreciate propped fig and carob trees, creating shaded spaces for livestock under their leafy canopies. This is a custom exclusive to our island, which generates the suggestive vision that the trees function as small organic constructions. Shortly before concluding our route, we will find pine areas where we can take shelter if the day is hot. Finally, we will arrive at Migjorn beach, whose length guarantees finding quiet spots even in high season. Furthermore, since in summer it is more common for the wind on the island to blow from the east, this south coast usually remains sheltered. The entire coast is dotted with beach restaurants offering typical cuisine based on rice dishes and fish, and some emblematic beach bars. It is no coincidence that this is the preferred area for residents.
