Sant Ferran → Punta Prima

This path runs mainly through the traditional area of sa Punta , a prominent headland located between the end of the long Llevant beach and the Tramuntana coast. This is a route with two variants: the first connects the towns of Sant Ferran de ses Roques and Es Pujols , coinciding with the final stretch of route 20, while the second option is the only one that takes us closer to the watchtower of Punta Prima . We will start from the town of Sant Ferran , where we can visit the main square with its church. We will head towards Es Pujols along a quiet inland path between stone walls that border plots and fields. If we take the variant towards the coastal town of Es Pujols , we can enjoy its fantastic beach and the promenade with numerous restaurants and, in the late afternoon/evening, small stalls. To resume the path towards the tower, we must retrace our steps until we reach the detour. The defensive tower of Punta Prima is a fortification built between 1762 and 1763 that visually dominates the entire northern part of the island. To conclude this walk, we suggest walking to the tip of Punta Prima : beneath our feet we will find an unusual rocky terrain, with curious shapes and profiles that invite us to play at guessing figures. From the imposing cliffs of Punta Prima , we will be moved by exceptional views: to the west, Eivissa , S’Espalmador and the islet of Espardell , and to the east, the plateau of La Mola and the entire Tramuntana coast.
