The characteristic of route 26 is its steep incline, which makes it more advisable to cover it on foot rather than by bicycle, except for those accustomed to descending abrupt and less accessible terrain with their bikes. We will start from Racó de Sa Pujada ascending gradually; once the road is crossed, the path begins to descend, passing through a wooded area of pine and juniper trees to end at the sea. Upon reaching Es Ram , we will be surprised by the panoramic view of the opposite end of the island, Es Cap : with some insight, we will be able to distinguish its tiny lighthouse. In Es Ram we can also appreciate its boat shelters (varaderos), constructions for pulling boats out of the water and sheltering them. Their wooden guide systems are known as “ escars ”; boats slide on them to be launched, while also serving as a ramp. Often, a shed made of branches and wood is built to protect the vessel from the sun and rain. Taking a short final walk westwards, we will arrive at Es Caló des Mort , a small, adorable cove with space for a few privileged bathers.
