This walk of just over 9 kilometers runs parallel to the road through the peaceful area of Can Parra , deviates halfway along the old path that led to Es Cap and ends at the famous lighthouse and watchtower of Es Garroveret . Strolling through Can Parra , we will recognize the most rural Formentera in the dry stone walls that delimit the fields, some traditional houses, and small herds for family self-sufficiency. Once we have crossed the road, we will take the old path of Es Cap where it is likely that at times we can forget the existence of tourist expansion. Always heading south, our route coincides with the road, where we find the prehistoric site of Es Cap de Barbaria . This entire geographical area became densely populated during the Early and Middle Bronze Age (around 1600-1000 BC). Evidence of this is the twenty sites from this period, three of which have been excavated. Cap de Barbaria II is the most extensive, a complex-plan structure formed by different attached areas. Cap de Barbaria I and III , on the other hand, are simpler-plan constructions. They are currently signposted and can be visited.
