La Mola - s'Estufador - Es Ram

La Mola → Es Ram

4.2 km · 85 min a pie · N/A en bici · Difícil

This walk is just over 4 kilometers long, peculiar for venturing into a wooded landscape that in some places is surprisingly atypical. The quality of this walk is not only that it moves away from the summer hustle and bustle and tourist activity, but that it combines many landscapes in a single route. Leaving the church of Pilar de La Mola, we will begin our route in a flat area surrounded by cultivated fields. We will continue walking through a forest with a significant slope, where we will discover a series of natural torrents that carry rainwater to the sea. Leaving the density of the typical Mediterranean forest of the La Mola plateau, we will finally arrive at s’Estufador , changing to a toasted-colored landscape, populated by whimsically shaped rocks made of a material that was traditionally widely used: marés . This is a very erodible and easily manipulated calcareous stone, which is why it was widely used in the island's construction before the arrival of modern materials, well into the 20th century. If we continue walking parallel to the sea, we will access a narrow path just wide enough for one person to pass, which will take us to Es Ram .
