Cala en Baster is a small rocky cove on the northern coast of Formentera, in the Tramuntana region, near Sant Ferran de ses Roques. With no sand or facilities, it offers rock platforms, sandstone walls and clear, crystalline waters that are perfect for a peaceful swim and for snorkelling. Its most distinctive feature are the caves that fishermen carved by hand into the sandstone to shelter their boats, giving it a wild and unmistakable character. The way down to the water is rocky, so it is best to wear suitable footwear. It is not recommended in an easterly wind. Bring water and shade, as there are no facilities at all.
